How do I make booking?
- As simple as it looks to paint rainbows and butterflies not everyone can do a professional, camera worthy job. I have many years of experience, I have painted literally thousands of faces. I use only accredited, cosmetically approved top quality paints and equipment for the safety of your children.
What areas do you cover?
- I am located in Calne, Wiltshire but I am willing to travel further if needed. I regularly attend events in Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Bristol and Somerset. There will be an extra cost for travel though.
What face paints do you use?
- All the paints that I use are high quality, FDA compliant, cosmetic grade paints, designed for use on the skin. Professional-grade cosmetic face paints have been thoroughly tested and are designed for long lasting, comfortable wear, with vibrant colours and most importantly, they are skin safe!
- I use a combination of DFX, Fusion, Cameleon and FPA. All my glitters are approved for cosmetic use and are safe to use on skin and around the eyes. Please do let me know if you have a concern for sensitive skin and we can do a quick skin patch test before painting.
Are the face paints easy to remove?
- The best way to remove face paints is with warm, soapy water. The paints are highly pigmented so some colours may leave a slight shadow on the skin, these are easy to remove with make-up remover or make-up wipes.
- I generally recommend washing face paint off before going to bed, as some colours can rub off and may leave a marks on textiles.
What about hygiene?
- I ensure a safe and clean environment for both my customers and myself. I have a strict single use policy for sponges which are washed and disinfected after each event. Brushes are thoroughly rinsed between each customer using a three basin cleaning process with sterilizing brush cleaners. I also use hand sanitizer frequently between customers.
- For health and safety reasons, I will not face paint anyone who appears to have any kind of facial skin condition and will instead offer a design for limbs if desired.
How many faces can you paint per hour?
- I can usually paint between 8 – 12 faces an hour, depending on the complexity of the design. For larger events and/or 'cost-conscious' gatherings, I can cut back to very simple designs and could do up to 18-20 faces per hour.
What do I need to supply?
- I will come to your event prepared with all the required equipment for the booking. All I need you to do is provide a small well-lit space to set up. I can cater for both indoor and outdoor events. Although if outdoors please do let me know so I can bring the right equipment with me.
Do you only do face painting?
- No, we can also do arm painting and arm graffiti, pregnant belly painting or other parts of body (festival favourite is painted decolletage). Glitter bar or festival henna is also very popular for adult events.
How do I make booking?
- The easiest way to make a booking is to complete the quotation request form HERE. Booking early is highly recommended as my calendar does get very full, especially in the summer months.
